Project Description
The Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly has extended support to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through the donation of essential equipment and financial assistance.The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable groups within the municipality. Beneficiaries received items such as mobility aids, working tools, and startup capital to support small-scale businesses.
Officials from the Assembly noted that the support is aimed at empowering PWDs to become economically independent and actively contribute to community development. The gesture was funded through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), particularly the portion allocated for persons with disabilities.
Recipients expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the intervention, stating that the support will go a long way in enhancing their living conditions and enabling them to pursue sustainable economic activities.
The Assembly further assured that similar initiatives will continue to ensure that no group is left behind in the development process.
