Yesterday,30th April ,2926,the Honourable MCE for Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly commissioned and handed over institutional toilet and mechanized boreholes facilities to seven schools within the municipality,the beneficiaries schools included Toase RC School, Experimental School, Kuffour MA Cluster of schools, Nerebehi RC School,Sepaase MA School,Manhyia MA school and Abuakwa Division School. These facilities were jointly sponsored by Water and Sanitation for the Urban Population with support from Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly.The purpose of the facilities is to eradicate open defecation, enhance hygiene in schools,reduce absenteeism particularly the Girl child during their menstrual cycle period, improve enrollment in schools and  academic performance.
Each school received 14 -Seater water closet toilet with changing rooms and bathrooms . 
There was also donation of set up  sanitary equipment and disinfectants, sanitary pads, dustbins,T-Rolls, WC brushes,Mobs and buckets, ceiling brushes, Sweeping brushes among others.This efforts is towards the attainment of the sustainable development goals six on clean water and improved.
The Hon.MCE admonished beneficiaries schools to ensure that the facility serves its intended purpose. 
He also entreated the Teachers to take proper  care of the facilities and ensure higher level of maintenance culture.
The Teachers and Students were grateful stating that these facilities will improve teaching and learning in the schools.
